Actor's Singing Studio
The ability for an actor to sing is a vital tool in their
work. This short course will dispel the myths, remove fear
and teach the actor how to approach singing. Over 8 weeks,
participants will discover their singing voice and have
the ability to deepen their acting range through ‘acting
a song’. Using an acting approach, each participant
will complete the course with at least one fully rehearsed
audition song.
Topics include:
• Breath and diaphragmatical support
• Tone and quality of sound
• Rhythm and pitch awareness
• Approaching a song as an actor
• Group singing
• Modern vocal technique

Impro Studio
Removing fear and being present in the moment is vital for
any actor. This short course is designed for actors who
want to explore spontaneity and creativity while dissolving
any fear of improvisation. Over 8 weeks, participants will
discover and develop their imaginations, develop a heightened
awareness and deep connection to the present moment, and
be comfortable and confident with risk taking in performance.
Topics include:
• Improvisation basics
• Spontaneity
• Character Development
• Acting from a place of instinct and impulse

Acting Studio 1 - Exploration
and Confidence
This course is designed for the beginner actor or for actors
wanting to re-visit and fine-tune their skills. Developing
skills in listening, observing and communicating, actors
will explore spatial awareness, impulse and characterisation.
Participants will also explore the importance of ensemble
communication.
Topics include:
• Introduction to Voice
• Introduction to Body
• Communication development
• Impulse

FILM/TV Studio
The Film/TV Studio explores working
as an actor on a professional Film and/or TV set. It covers
what is expected of the actor in that environment, the technical
knowledge required and the exploration of the acting process
for camera. It is designed to increase the confidence, knowledge
and ability of the working actor.
Topics Include:
• The Actor on set;
• Camera acting technique (performance continuity,
hitting marks, key lights, shot sizes)
• Acting for the camera from a place of truth;
• Intro to deconstructing a script and preparing for
performance;
• Ability to successfully participate in screen tests.

Actor's Voice Studio
Our Voice Studio explores one of the most vital elements
to the actor’s craft, the voice. Exploring basic vocal
technique for the actor, breath work, vocal resonance, vocal
and articulatory muscularity and vocal fluency, this short
course will increase the actor’s ability to fully
express the truth of the text and the emotional integrity
of the character.
Topics include:
• Identifying habitual patterns
• Strengthening spinal support
• Breath – freeing the breathing process
• Connecting breath to movement and sound
• Exploring vocal fluency on a variety of text
• Oral reading skills

Acting Studio 2 -
TEXT
Expanding skills developed from or equivalent to The Actors
Studio: Exploration and Confidence, this course employs
those skills and explores techniques for approaching text.
Understanding transformation, physicality and the importance
of making strong choices, this course is designed to increase
knowledge and ability in text and performance.
Topics include:
• Introduction to script analysis
• Introduction to language and text
• Monologue and scene development
• Physical and spatial awareness

Directing Studio
Designed for those wishing to create new and innovative
work. Work intensively under instruction from various directors
with different approaches. Gain insight into theatre and
film direction, exploring and expanding on your own individual
style. Discover the skills necessary to manage and enable
the creativity of colleagues and see through the production
process. Each participate will complete the course by directing
at least one piece.
Topics include:
• Creative management and collaboration
• Spatial awareness
• Supporting and challenging the actor
